A leading main contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in North London.

The main objective of the role is to deliver the commercial requirements of a portfolio of regional projects for a specialist business unit.

Key duties will include:

  • Developing and implementing commercial strategies for projects.
  • Drafting and inputing on contract and subcontract negotiations, subcontract management, and agreement of final accounts.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly project CVRs, ensuring awareness of and compliance with revenue recognition rules.
  • Building, managing, and maintaining client, supplier, and internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Inputing into growing a high performing team, including mentoring and overseeing the progression of junior team members.
  • Preparing applications for payments to maintain cash position, including cash flow production and improvement plans.

Further Details

Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of different types of projects across the wider business.

Projects ranging in value up to c.£10m, with a focus on delivering one project and then moving onto the next.

Projects can cover a variety of sectors including electrical, new utilities infrastructure, and infrastructure decommissioning.

You will mentor junior commercial staff on projects, delivering training where needed and generally overseeing progression and development activities.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to see experienced Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression.

Minimum of 5+ years' commercial experience supporting the delivery of infrastructure or general civil engineering projects.

Must have NEC contract experience, and be comfortable managing projects end-to-end.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors and clients.

Relevant quantity surveying or commercial management degree.
