Senior Quantity Surveyors

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for Senior Quantity Surveyors to join their team across various sites in Buckinghamshire.

The main objective of the role is to deliver the commercial requirements for a portfolio of civil engineering works as part of a section of a major infrastructure project.

Key duties will include:

• Preparing and agreeing variation accounts.
• Monitoring cost against targets, and contract progress against accepted programmes, whilst working plans in conjunction with other team disciplines.
• Providing input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustment.
• Preparing and agreeing interim valuations, final valuation, final accounts, and subcontract final accounts.
• Preparing and issuing certification and payment of subcontractors.
• Providing contractual advice to management, ensuring compliance with contract and legal administration obligations.
• Negotiating and progressing the resolution of any disputes.
• Identifying potential commercial risks and evaluating options for their control and management.

Responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of civil engineering works covering a section of a major national infrastructure project.

The scope of works includes viaducts, green tunnels, road diversions, bridges, and excavation works.

Reporting into an Area Commercial Lead or Commercial Manager you will be delivering the end-to-end commercial processes and procedures for projects.

You will be responsible for the management and mentoring of junior commercial staff on projects, and as such will be expected to display leadership and management skills.

Minimum of 5 years' experience delivering the commercial requirements for civil engineering projects within an infrastructure environment.

Demonstrable track record of delivering successful commercial outcomes on projects that you have worked on and of working collaboratively with operational teams and other internal departments.

Experience of working with and managing NEC forms of contract.

Relevant quantity surveying degree.
