Buyer

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Buyer to support with regional materials and plant buying for projects, you will:

• Operational buying of material and plant requirements for regional civil engineering projects
• Ensure projects receive material orders to the required quality, cost, and delivery expectations
• Negotiate with suppliers that are not covered by frameworks
• Support operational teams with day-to-day challenges on contracts
• Maximise the use of framework agreements to ensure savings and rebates are achieved

Buying a wide range of categories including, concrete, timber, c-class parts, small and heavy plant.

Supporting a portfolio of national civil engineering projects and frameworks.

Our client is looking for Buyers with 2+ years civil materials buying experience from any sector of construction.

They are open to candidates from contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, or merchants.

They will also consider Assistant Buyers who are looking for career progression.
