Senior Buyer

A leading Infrastructure contractor is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team and help support on a major construction projects.

Main duties will include:

• Supporting a Procurement Manager in delivering various project procurement strategies.
• Managing the day to day project procurement of materials and subcontracts.
• Managing the tender process for subcontract packages.
• Working with project teams to deliver procurement requirements.
• Ensuring savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies.

Supporting a minor civils project by managing the end-to-end procurement activities for the sourcing of a variety of packages.

Minimum of 2+ year’s subcontract procurement experience for a main contractor

Ideally you will currently be working as a Senior Buyer, or an experienced Buyer who is looking for progression

Must have recent experience of managing construction, MEP or infrastructure projects

Must have a track record or successfully delivering project procurement strategies

Strong negotiation, supplier management and communication skills
