A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in North London.

The main objective of the role is to deliver the commercial requirements for a portfolio of utilities works as part of a regional infrastructure upgrade programme.

Key duties will include:

  • Assisting the commercial department and project team to maximise profit and reduce risk.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met effectively and efficiently and that outcomes are achieved.
  • Responsible for subcontractor management, ensuring all subcontractors and suppliers have submitted compliant quotations, enquiries, and applications within the timescale required.
  • Producing monthly assessments, variations, CE claims, and final account agreements.
  • Assisting with production of monthly project financial and forecasts to complete reports for analysis with finance and commercial Staff.

Further Details

Assisting with the delivery of a portfolio of utilities works as part of a major £125m+ regional framework.

Projects cover a variety of power and associated ancillary works including highways and river crossings.

Managing upstream relationships with senior internal stakeholders and the client, as well as downstream relationships with operational site teams.

Projects are delivered under NEC4 forms of contract, any working experience of using these contracts is beneficial.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to see experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression with experience of managing their own projects.

Minimum of 5 years' experience delivering the commercial requirements for civil engineering projects within an infrastructure environment, any utilities project experience is desirable.

Demonstrable experience of preparing and presenting long-term forecasts and reports for projects.

Experience of managing NEC contracts desirable.

Relevant quantity surveying degree.
