Procurement Specialist

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team.

The main objective of the role is to lead mainly subcontract and some material procurement activities for high profile power project.

Key duties include:

• Manage the end to end category management process
• Build a strong and robust supply chain
• Identify leveraging and synergy opportunities.
• Support with compliance, governance and providing a benchmark for procurement standards.

Responsible for working with sub-contractors and suppliers that have high value spend or pose high importance to the business

Be part of a strong procurement team who will help deliver £4billion UK project over the next 4 years

Our client is looking for candidates with 4-5 years strategic procurement experience.

You will currently be working as a senior buyer or category specialist for a medium to large infrastructure contractor or regulated organisation working on construction or infrastructure projects.

Ideally you will have strong subcontract procurement understanding and / or substation category experience and have led or assisted with category plans in your current or past roles.

Should they struggle to identify the above candidate profile, they would be open to meeting Procurement Specialists with 3+ years category management experience, again for a reputable main contractor.
