A Leading Infrastructure Contractor is looking to recruit two Procurement Leads to support their northern and southern regions.

The main objective of the role is to create and deliver a procurement strategy for the northern or southern client frameworks.

Key duties will include:

  • Leading and developing a large regional procurement function.
  • Growing the team and building functional capability to ensure strategic business unit objectives are achieved.
  • Managing board / director level stakeholder requirements, building strong relationships with Managing / Operations Directors across all frameworks.
  • Building strong relationships with Estimating to ensure procurement can influence at work winning stage.
  • Part of the Procurement Senior Leadership Team (SLT), supporting the Head of Procurement with delivering new strategies across the business unit.

Further Details

Responsible for the leading a regional procurement function delivering a large portfolio of water frameworks for regulated clients across the UK.

Managing and developing a medium sized procurement team delivering a mixture of materials only, and materials and subcontract procurement for clients.

You will also work closely with pre-construction teams within the business to support work winning activities by procurement influence and expertise.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for experienced procurement professionals with a minimum of 10 years' procurement experience for any top 20 infrastructure contractor.

Our client are also happy to speak to individuals with similar experience within the building or MEP sectors.

You will have demonstrable experience of creating and delivering procurement strategies for infrastructure projects and of leading small to medium sized project procurement teams.
