Buyer

A Global Engineering Manufacturing business is looking to recruit a Buyer to join their team in Cockermouth.

The main objective of the role is to support the procurement team with buying of all materials and services for the company.

Key duties will include:

• Supporting the Sourcing Specialist in developing a procurement strategy for the business.
• Procuring goods and services from approved supply chain.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports.
• Ensuring compliance and use of processes, procedures and authorisation for all purchases.

Responsible for a variety of categories such as raw materials, indirects and services.

Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for best pricing.

Our client is open to seeing candidates with 1+ years' procurement experience from any sector.

Ideally, you will currently be working as a Buyer, or an experienced Assistant Buyer looking for progression.

Relevant degree of CIPS is desirable but not essential.
