A Leading Infrastructure Contractor is looking for a Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join their rail team.
The main objective of the role is to deliver the sustainability and environmental strategy across a key rail framework.
You will:
You will be working for a FTSE Top 100 PLC who have committed to achieving challenging sustainability and environmental targets, meaning this function is very visible and critical to the broader business strategy.
You will be joining a team of over 200 sustainability and environmental specialists, the function offers very clear career progression across a range of structured job titles.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a market leading contractor where you will be helping to support the delivery of some of the country's largest construction and infrastructure projects.
Supporting the management of environmental compliance across project sites, ensuring legal and client obligations are being met.
Monitoring site activities, including the use of plant nappies, testing local water pollution levels, monitoring dust and noise levels, and relocating wildlife habitat.
Ensuring that environmental law and client contract stipulations are being followed to avoid breaches, while efficiently making good any breaches identified by the Environment Agency or other agency visits.
Our client is looking for Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisors who are looking for a career move, or Advisor level candidates who are looking for career progression to Senior Advisor.
You will have a minimum of 3 years experience delivering environmental strategies within any infrastructure, construction or engineering related industry.
Any sustainability experience would be beneficial however the client is not looking for fully focused sustainability candidates, this job is more environmental compliance focused.
You must be a good communicator, with strong stakeholder management experience.
You will have the confidence to lead early engagement with projects and will be aware of the time taken to gather information and approvals from likes of the Environment Agency and Natural England or Country Councils.
