Buyer

A top 20 main infrastructure contractor is looking to recruit a Buyer to join their site teams across the South East.

The main objective of the role is to support the delivery of regional projects, you will:

• Support a Procurement Manager in delivering various project procurement strategies.
• Manage the day to day project procurement of materials and subcontracts.
• Negotiate major material packages.
• Manage the tender process for subcontract packages.
• Work with project teams to deliver procurement requirements.
• Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies.

Responsible for working with a high class team on delivering several large rail projects.

Managing multi-million pound subcontract packages and high value material packages.

Our client is looking for an experienced Buyer and up and coming Assistant Buyer who has strong ITT experience and / or subcontract procurement experience from any reputable main contractor or large subcontractor.

You will have experience of operationally managing projects across civil engineering, infrastructure or construction.
