Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

A leading construction contractor is looking for a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to lead a procurement transformation programme across northern construction projects, you will:

• Lead regional procurement, operationally supporting all northern construction projects
• Manage an operational buying team for all regional material and plant requirements
• Create and manage category plans for national key material and plant requirements
• Manage senior internal stakeholder requirements across the region

Managing a national portfolio of construction materials and plant worth £30m per year, this includes, labour, plant, accommodation, prelims, PPE, consumables, labour and indirects.

You will also be supporting a wide range or northern construction projects, across commercial residential, retail, education and healthcare.

Our client is looking for candidates with 5+ years procurement and supply chain management experience for a medium to large main construction contractor.

You will have both operational and strategic procurement experience… ensuring projects are successfully delivered together with the experience of creating and managing category agreements.

Candidates with have a first class understanding of most of the plant, accommodation, prelims, PPE, consumables and labour supply chains.

You will be part of the senior procurement leadership team so it’s important you have strong stakeholder management experience.
