A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The main objective of the role is to deliver a portfolio of projects as part of a high profile regional infrastructure upgrade framework.

Key duties will include:

  • Undertake monthly reporting for both the client and for use internally, ensuring variance analysis and positive cash collection.
  • Produce monthly project financial and forecast to complete reports for review by finance and commercial teams.
  • Ultimate responsibility for all subcontractor management, ensuring that all documentation submitted is compliant and submitted within agreed timescales.
  • Manage upstream relationships with the client, ensuring they are kept up-to-date with project progress.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with internal stakeholders and project teams.

Further Details

Responsible for a portfolio of infrastructure upgrade works within the region, delivering projects as part of a major utilities framework.

Managing small commercial teams at times to deliver larger projects, whist also running smaller works in a standalone position.

Project works range from wiring maintenance, replacement and refurbishment, to steelwork maintenance and renewal and line entry and enabling works associated with route reconfigurations.

Projects are delivered under NEC4 forms of contract, it is expected that you will have a working experience of using this form of contract.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for Managing Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to see experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression.

Minimum of 7 years' experience delivering the commercial requirements for civil engineering projects within an infrastructure environment, any utilities project experience is desirable.

Demonstrable experience of preparing and presenting long-term forecasts and reports for projects.

Experience of managing NEC contracts desirable.

Relevant quantity surveying degree.
