Quantity Surveyors & Assistant Quantity Surveyors

A Leading Regulated Industry Organisation is looking for Quantity Surveyors and Assistant Quantity Surveyors to deliver a number of contracts for them across The Midlands and the South East.

The main objective of the role is to develop and implement the procurement strategies for a portfolio of national capital fit out healthcare contracts.

Key duties will include:

  • Manage the delivery of regional projects and commercial contract objectives.
  • Achieve profitability and cost reduction targets across your project portfolio.
  • Highlight exceptional variations, potential risks and opportunities across your contract portfolio.
  • Produce financial and contractual performance forecasts, together with CVRs each month.
  • Produce final accounts and conduct contractor reviews at project completion.
  • Measuring projects onsite and supporting site meetings.
  • Provide commercial advice to operational and engineering teams.

Further Details

Managing various infrastructure frameworks across the region, on ongoing 5 year frameworks.

Framework projects range from £500k to £5m per project, across new build, refurbishment and maintenance.

QS and AQS roles are very similar, QS learn towards dispute resolution and are contractor facing. AQS lean towards measuring onsite and providing QS' with information to support their disputes.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is open on seeing candidates from client organisations, cost consultancies, contractors or subcontractors.

They are looking for Assistant QS' with 2+ years experience and Quantity Surveyors with 4-5+ years experience.

You must have good contract negotiation skills, experience of managing disputes, and understand measuring principles.

You must be a strong communicator, happy to meet stakeholders in person and develop relationships.

You must be achievement focused, visible and keen to deliver in the role.
