Northern Gas Networks are a new client, this was the first assignment that we were provided to trial our services. Following our success with this opportunity we look forward to supporting Northern Gas Networks with future vacancies.
Northern Gas Networks received a significant increase in workload across various frameworks, the Commercial Manager required several new hires to deliver projects across gas holder, minor works, reinstatement and backfill frameworks.
AR Resourcing were appointed to recruit three Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of commercial and procurement strategies across a portfolio of regional frameworks.
We were briefed to identify Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QS’s with strong infrastructure project experience from relevant contractors or subcontractors, post contract management experience of variations and claims to a high level was essential.
We provided Northern Gas Networks our Contingent (Plan 3) recruitment service, we worked alongside other agencies to identify, qualify and present suitable candidates.
We contacted our recently registered candidate network across regional cost consultancies and main contractors.
We also advertised the role on our website, LinkedIn, job boards and our Job Alerts candidate email to help identify additional candidates.
The challenge with this assignment was finding candidates of an appropriate calibre within the salary band, as Northern Gas Networks salary bands didn’t initially line up to the contracting candidate pool that we were approaching. When interviewing candidates we qualified their experience of relevant project exposure and client facing stakeholder experience.
10 CVs were shortlisted across the three jobs, 7 candidates were selected for interview.
For each job the preferred candidate was successfully offered and appointed, no candidates were lost throughout this process as Northern Gas Networks recruited to an agreed interview process, and they quickly secured all candidates of interest.
