Senior Quantity Surveyor

A leading construction contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Coalville.

The main objective of the role is to deliver the commercial requirements of regional construction projects covering the education, healthcare, and justice sectors.

Key duties will include:

• Responsible for the commercial management of a section of a large project or on several smaller projects.
• Ensuring the timely submission of all relevant data required to monitor and analyse contract performance monthly.
• Liaising with Contract Managers on the day-to-day commercial administration of contracts to ensure the financial success of projects.
• Preparing draft subcontracts and approving draft subcontracts prepared by the regional commercial team.
• Line management responsibilities including supervising, mentoring and encouraging junior staff in their personal professional development.
• Responsible for managing meetings with client and operational teams.

Delivering a portfolio of new build construction projects across the North West region.

Majority of the projects fall within the education sector, delivering new schools and higher education facilities.

The role will involve line management responsibilities, meaning it is a great opportunity to develop mentoring skills which will aid future progression opportunities.

The role will involve a combination of office based work and weekly site visits across the region.

Minimum of 7+ years' experience delivering the commercial requirements for construction projects.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering construction projects of £10m+.

Relevant Quantity Surveying degree.
