Senior Buyer

A Leading Construction Contractor is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team in Warrington to support a small project buying team.

You will:

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process for materials.
• Lead the operational buying of materials and plant across national construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with preferred supplier agreements and maximise the use of frameworks.
• Delivery stakeholder requirements, acting as a key link between project teams and the supply chain.
• Ensure procurement strategies are aligned with company procedures.
• Support work winning teams with sourcing material quotes for bids.
• Support with strategic procurement and category management activities.
• Deliver value for money, and support the successful delivery of cost savings and rebates.

This is a great chance to lead a small team of buyers who will manage a variety of building and infrastructure projects across the UK.

Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager to help shape the supply chain strategy.

Our client is looking for candidates with 3+ years' procurement construction materials experience.

Ideally you will currently be working in the construction environment as a Buyer looking for a step up.

Must have recent experience of construction or infrastructure projects.

Strong negotiation, supplier management and communication skills.
