Category Manager - FTC

A Leading Construction PLC is looking to recruit a Category Manager on an initial 6 month fixed term contract to manage the re-tender of a high profile fleet contract.

Key duties will include:

• Initial 6 month fixed term contract to manage the re-tender of a high profile fleet contract.
• Initially meet with Head of Fleet and Fleet Managers to understand requirements from new suppliers.
• Identify new suppliers, then create and issue ITTs.
• Run the tender and create balanced scorecards, presenting options to Director level stakeholders.
• Manage the contract award, and mobilise the handover to the existing fleet team.
• Likely to be extending a further 3-6 months to support the contract once it has gone live.

You will be managing the re-tender for one of the companies highest profile categories.

You will be working closely with Director level stakeholders throughout the tender and mobilisation process.

Our client is looking for experienced category management professionals with a minimum of 5 years' category management experience for any large complex company.

Must have strong experience managing a wide variety of complex indirect and services categories.

Must have strong experience in creating category strategies for a portfolio of national or global spend.
