Senior Quantity Surveyor

A Leading Construction Contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to help manage the commercial requirements for a large confidential government framework, you will;

• Support the delivery of the project commercial strategy for a large public sector framework project.
• Develop and implement of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting.
• Manage a small project commercial team ensuring contract obligations are achieved.
• Manage procurement negotiation and issuing of subcontract orders, together with the management of the supply chain.
• Complete valuations, measurements, contractual notices, risks and change management when required.
• Complete and submit monthly cost reports, procurement strategy updates and progress reports.
• Agree external valuations upstream and downstream to maintain a positive project cashflow and produce subcontractor final accounts.
• Successfully manage the commercial requirements of senior internal and external stakeholders.

Our client is looking for a minimum of 8+ year’s quantity surveying experience for Main Contractors.Minimum of 3+ years leading small to medium sized commercial teams.

Ideally you will currently be working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or as an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is looking for career progression.

You will have a demonstrable track record of successfully delivering the medium to large sized construction projects and managing NEC contracts, ideally with exposure to options A, B and C.

You will have strong contract knowledge and legal awareness.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Relevant commercial degree, RICS or NEC qualifications are desirable.
