Procurement Manager

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Procurement Manager set and deliver the procurement strategy for a major rail frameworks, you will:

• Set and deliver the procurement strategy for a major rail framework
• Lead and develop a medium sized procurement team
• Set and monitor standard around processes and quality
• Ensure the team is delivering a great procurement service to the company and client
• Improve engagement and compliance with the supply chain
• Significant internal stakeholder management with operational leaders

Managing a national portfolio of rail frameworks for Network Rail… initially you will close out the CP6 framework, then mobilise and deliver the newly awarded CP7 framework.

Your team will be managing dozens of live projects across the frameworks at any one time, worth between £5m and £50m+… the newly awarded CP7 framework will run for at least 5 years and will likely progress into CP8.

Our client is looking for candidates with 5+ years project procurement experience across any infrastructure projects, they will also consider building experience for exceptional candidates.

You will currently be working as a Procurement Manager managing a small to medium sized buying team for a main contractor.

You will also have or have recently had subcontract procurement experience, together with experience of setting procurement strategies for projects or frameworks.
