Buyer

A Leading Building Services Contractor is looking for a Buyer to join their team in Watford.

The main objective of the role will be to procure material requirements for regional facilities management contracts.

Key duties include:

• Ensure contracts receive material orders to the required quality, cost and delivery expectations.
• Negotiate with suppliers that are not covered by frameworks.
• Meet with operational teams and deliver their buying requirements.
• Maximise the use of framework agreements to ensure savings and rebates are achieved.

Key categories will include: building materials, maintenance and repair supplies, security, furniture and cleaning supplies.

Responsible for buying from frameworks with a mix of sourcing and negotiating with new suppliers for the business.

Our client is looking for candidates with 2+ year's procurement experience from any FM or M&E contractor, however they're also open to considering candidates from any main contractor or subcontractor with strong materials experience.

Ideally you'll currently be an experienced Buyer or an Assistant Buyer who's looking for progression.

Experienced in using MRP / Sage / E-Sourcing systems to buy materials.

Strong ability to analyse data, using Excel.
