Senior Buyer & Buyer

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Senior Buyer and Buyer to support their highways business unit, you will:

• Manage the day to day procurement of materials and subcontracts for regional projects
• Negotiate major materials and manage the tender process for subcontract packages
• Develop procurement strategies for regional projects
• Strategically manage a portfolio of direct categories
• Provide support to project teams delivering their procurement requirements
• Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies

Manage various highways frameworks and projects across London and the South East.

Manage a portfolio of direct civil engineering and MEP categories, ensuring leveraging and synergy opportunities are achieved.

Our client is looking for a Senior Buyer and Buyer who have strong materials and / or subcontract procurement experience from any reputable infrastructure / MEP contractor or large highways subcontractor.

You will have experience of operationally managing projects across highways, rail, utilities or MEP fitout.

Ideally Senior Buyers will have some exposure to delivering project procurement strategies and strategically managing key categories… Buyers will be provided subcontract procurement training.
