A high profile global FTSE manufacturer is looking to recruit a Global Procurement Lead.
The main objective of the role is to set and deploy a procurement strategy for a £150m+ indirect spend, supporting manufacturing and distribution facilities across UK, Europe, US and Far East.
Key duties will include:
- Part of the procurement senior leadership team, supporting the Global Supply Chain Director with a functional transformation.
- Lead and develop a medium sized global category management team.
- Further develop and improve the existing procurement strategy and supplier performance management processes.
- Further develop the categorisation of indirect materials and services, improving current category plan strategies.
- Improve productivity and simplification of the function, rationalising the supply chain, mitigation risks and improving costs.
- Further develop sustainable sourcing goals, ensuring the company achieves emission commitments.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at senior level.
- Work with other Global Procurement Leads to drive functional excellence across the department, improving processes and efficiencies.
Supporting a market leading global product manufacturer who suppliers a wide variety of markets, including automotive, aerospace, energy, medical, electronics and industrial.
You will be the most senior indirect procurement representative globally, managing a wide variety of categories, including capex, utilities, IT, MRO, Site Services, and general indirects.
Manage a medium sized category management function, responsible for all company indirect spend, £150m+.
Manage senior level stakeholders across the company.
Part of the procurement senior leadership team.
Successfully operated for many years as a Procurement / Category Manager, delivering a global or national procurement strategy for indirects, from any industry.
Proven ability of leading and developing a medium sized procurement function.
Proven ability of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at senior level.
Demonstrable experience in building teams / functional capability and competency.
Demonstrable experience of improving productivity / simplification of a procurement function.
Demonstrable track record of achievements from previous jobs.
Must be a detailed person, with strong analytical skills.
Must have energy, can do attitude, with presence, and gravitas.
Degree qualified, with MCIPS (desirable).
