Quantity Surveyor

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds.

The main objective of the role is to deliver the day-to-day commercial requirements for a major regional highways framework.

Key duties will include:

• Assisting and taking responsibility for preparing tenders, and the full end-end management of subcontracts through to final account.
• Assisting with the preparation of forecasts, targets, and CVRs.
• Liaising with and commercially challenging site management teams, maintaining and protecting commercial and contractual entitlement.
• Managing and overseeing junior commercial staff, checking and taking responsibility for their work.
• Involvement with day-to-day commercial administration including the maintaining of site records, D&B contracts, and claims & disputes.

Delivering a portfolio of packages as part of a regional highways framework in West Yorkshire worth £20m per annum.

Individual contract package values ranging from £1m to £5m, covering a variety of infrastructure upgrade and maintenance works.

This role will require the mentoring of junior members of the commercial team, aiding in their continued professional development.

Minimum of 3 years' commercial experience supporting the delivery of infrastructure or general civil engineering projects.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors and clients.

Relevant quantity surveying or commercial management degree.
