Procurement Manager

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Procurement Manager to implement procurement strategies for national highways projects and frameworks, you will:

• Develop and deploy a national procurement strategy across the highways business unit
• Support project procurement teams with major material and subcontract procurement
• Develop and deploy national category strategies for key direct materials and subcontracts
• Manage various supply chain management initiatives across the business unit
• Support the Procurement & Supply Chain Director with various change programmes

Supporting project teams across national highway projects and frameworks.

Projects stretch from the south coast to the North East… value range from smaller framework projects, up to £200m major projects.

You will create project procurement strategies and set the individual package strategies for all key subcontract trades, together with creating category agreements across the key suppliers and subcontractors.

Our client is looking for candidates with 5+ years subcontract procurement experience.

You will currently be working as a Procurement Manager or experienced Senior Buyer for a large main contractor.

Ideally you will have strong infrastructure project experience, supporting the delivery of procurement strategies for highways, utilities, or rail projects… however our client will also consider candidates with building project experience.
