Procurement Manager & Senior Buyer

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer to support the delivery of a major rail project, you will:

• Lead the delivery of procurement packages for a section of a major project.
• Manage the day to day project procurement of subcontracts and major materials.
• Negotiate major material packages with suppliers.
• Manage the tender process for subcontract packages.
• Work with project teams to deliver procurement requirements.
• Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies.

£1bn section of a major rail project, managing a wide variety of civil engineering packages.

Our client is open to a wide selection of candidate profiles due to the variety of packages that have to be managed, they are ideally looking for subcontract procurement professionals from any construction or infrastructure contractor.

They will also consider up and coming material buyers who want to develop their subcontract procurement skills as training can be provided.

Any major project or NEC experience would be beneficial however not essential.
