Procurement Manager

An expanding main contractor is looking to recruit a Procurement Lead.

The main objective of the role is to develop and deliver a procurement and supply chain strategy across all national highways projects and frameworks.

Key duties will include

• Create strategies across each project that achieves benefits across the procurement, category and supply chain management of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify and deliver leveraging and synergy benefits across live projects.
• Support the highways business throughout the full lifecycle of projects, from precon through to mobilisation and operational delivery.
• Manage senior internal stakeholders to ensure new strategies are successfully adopted and delivered by the project teams.

Strategically responsible for all national highways projects.

Manage director level stakeholders across the company.

No initial team to manage, however this will happen over time.

Minimum of 5+ year’s strategy procurement experience for a main infrastructure or construction contractor.

Must have experience of setting procurement strategies for large projects / frameworks or a business unit.

Ideally you will currently be working as a Senior Procurement Manager, or an experienced Procurement Manager who is looking for progression.

NEC project experience and / or Category Management experience is highly desirable.

Previous hands on subcontract procurement experience is also desirable.

Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at director level.
