Procurement Manager – Construction Major Projects

A leading construction contractor is looking for a Procurement Manager to develop and deliver procurement strategies for national major construction projects, you will:

  • Create project specific procurement strategies for each new project.
  • Lead end to end subcontract package negotiations.
  • Support the commercial teams with managing the supply chain.
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and preferred supply chain partners.

Project / Category Details

New build construction projects generally between £100m and £200m, most live and upcoming projects are around the South East and Midlands.

Projects range across Education, Healthcare, Commercial and Defence sectors

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager or experienced Senior Buyer with at least 5 years subcontract procurement experience for main contractor.

You will be working for a top 20 national contractor with experience of managing medium to large projects across construction or infrastructure.

You will have strong end to end subcontract procurement experience and will ideally have experience of setting project procurement strategies. They are open to meeting Senior Buyers who have been package focused as full training can be provided on creating project procurement strategies.
