Head of Supply Chain

A leading high volume distributor has created a new greenfield Head of Supply Chain role, they require a hands on manager to create a supply chain strategy for a high growth group company, you will:

• Design, develop and implement a supply chain strategy for group company
• Lead and develop a high performing supply chain and logistics team
• Implement best practice processes and procedures to improve the supply chain
• Develop goals, objectives, and KPIs which support the supply chain strategy
• Manage owned and third party logistics operations, ensuring they achieve agreed KPIs & SLAs
• Part of and presenting weekly metrics to the senior leadership team

Market leading high volume distributor of electrical products, you’ll be managing a global supply chain network of owned and third party logistics operations.

You will be responsible for end to end supply chain activities across inbound shipping, stock receipt to supplier payments, order pick to customer payment, and outbound shipping.

Our client is looking for candidates with 5+ years supply chain management experience.

Ideally you will be working as a Head of Supply Chain or Senior Supply Chain Manager, our client is also open to considering experienced Supply Chain Managers who are looking for progression.

You will have many years experience working in high volume / fast paced distribution or manufacturing industries, together with some experience of leading small to medium supply chain and logistics teams.

Candidates must also have experience of negotiating and managing third party logistics (3PL) contracts.
