Category Manager – Major Infrastructure Project

A leading main contractor is looking for a Category Manager to strategically create and implement a portfolio of direct and indirect contracts, you will:

  • Create category strategies across a portfolio of direct and indirect spend.
  • Own a portfolio of high profile, high complexity categories.
  • Work with project teams to ensure they successfully adopt new agreements, supporting them by solving operational challenges.
  • Deliver various Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives with key supply chain partners.
  • Establish strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.

Project / Category Details

Major midlands-based infrastructure project.

Managing a portfolio of direct categories to support engineering and construction projects, category values range from £20mil – £100mil+ spend per year.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for experienced strategic procurement professionals who have strong experience working for a large construction, or infrastructure contractor.

Candidates must have strong experience of negotiating with or managing subcontractors.
