Buyer

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Buyer to manage materials and plant procurement for a portfolio of rail projects, you will:

• Deliver the procurement strategies for regional rail projects
• Manage all material and plant orders
• Manage category frameworks for key materials
• Deliver various supply chain management initiatives across the region
• Meet with operational teams and deliver their buying requirements
• Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategy
• Support the Procurement Director with strategic improvements to the function

A mixture of framework and project procurement to support regional rail projects.

Our client is looking for Buyers or experienced Assistant Buyers who have strong civil engineering materials procurement experience from an infrastructure contractor or subcontractor.

You will have at least 2 years operational procurement experience managing rail, highways or utilities projects.

Ideally you will have some exposure to strategic procurement, and you’ll be keen to learn subcontract procurement as full training will be provided.
